What Is Covered
Every component carries its own warranty. Here is a clear summary of what you are covered for.

Solar Panels
We only install panels with 25+ year performance guarantees. Our standard panels maintain at least 80.7% of original output after 25 years.
Inverter
Most hybrid inverters come with 5-year warranties, extendable to 10-12 years. We recommend extending — inverters are the most likely component to need replacement.
Battery Storage
All batteries we install carry minimum 10-year warranties with guaranteed minimum capacity retention. Most Sigenergy units carry 12-year cover.
Mounting System
Mounting rails and fixings are rated for 25+ year structural integrity. Our weatherproofing guarantee covers any roof leaks caused by the installation.
EV Charger
Smart EV chargers from Zappi, Ohme, and Easee carry 3-year manufacturer warranties. Electrical workmanship is warranted for 3 years.
Wiring & Electrical
All DC and AC wiring, isolators, and consumer unit upgrades are covered by our 10-year workmanship warranty.
Additional Protection
Beyond component warranties, your installation is protected by industry schemes and insurance.
MCS Certification
Every installation is registered with MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme). This ensures compliance with industry standards and qualifies your system for the Smart Export Guarantee.
RECC Consumer Code
As RECC members, we adhere to the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. This provides you with an independent dispute resolution process and guaranteed standards of conduct.
Deposit Protection
Your deposit is protected under the RECC insurance-backed deposit protection scheme. If anything were to happen to our business before your installation, your money is safe.
Insurance-Backed Warranty
Our workmanship warranty is backed by an independent insurance provider. Even if Lumos Energy were to cease trading (we have no plans to!), your warranty remains valid and enforceable.
What If Something Goes Wrong?
If you experience any issue with your installation, contact us first. We are a local company — based 15 minutes from most Wiltshire homes — and we respond to warranty issues promptly. If the issue is with a specific component, we handle the manufacturer warranty claim on your behalf. You deal with us, not a distant call centre.
